Ten More Underwater Music Videos

I put all the Underwater Music Videos I've found so far on a YouTube playlist for you. #YouTubeNchill

1. Headnodic feat. Latyrx and Kat O1O - "Moving On Up" 2011  *Smiling and singing underwater are pro-style. Latyrx will be at Nectar Lounge on September 11 with Nightcappers and Project Lionheart.

2. Wax Tailor feat. Aloe Blacc - "Time To Go" 2012  *The whole world is underwater if you're a yarn squid. Aloe Blacc and Wax Tailor nailed this one.

3. Iska Dhaaf - "Happiness" 2013 (SEATTLE MUSIC)  *These guys have all the potential in the world, I can't wait to see what they do next. Their amazing "Everybody Knows" video is on Ten More Great Seattle Music Videos.

4. Until The Ribbon Breaks - "Romeo" 2013  *I don't love this song, it's aight. I just loved "Perspective" so much, I keep checking back with them. The underwater scene is Claire Danes in the Romeo + Juliet movie circa 1966 with Leonardo Dicaprio.

5. The XX - "Fiction" 2013  *The XX video "Chained" is the star of the original Ten Music Videos featuring Underwater Scenes

6. Kass Overall - "Cauliflower" 2014  *This is all beat nasty face. His collaboration with Kool A.D., "Arrested Development" was previously featured in Ten Music Videos with Special Effects.

7. Graves 33 - "Blue Slate" 2014 (SEATTLE MUSIC) *Go check out graves33.com. His new instrumental album, "Smoke Filled Rooms," is due out July 10.

8. Childish Gambino ft. Chance The Rapper - "The Worst Guys" 2014  *"Fuck it, let's get some babes and some chicken and film a music video at the beach. We'll act like we're surfing and shit, maybe do martial arts on the beach, have some lightup toys, it will be epic!"
-fake Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper internet quote

9. Huey Lewis and The News - "Stuck With You" 1986  *Eighties stud meets girl with the biggest dress. This song is still goes.

10. Chet Faker - "Talk Is Cheap" 2014  *This water is frozen, but, it still totally counts. This reminds me of the "Sledgehammer" video.

Ten Music Videos featuring Carnival Scenes

1. Aesop Rock - "Homemade Mummy" 2012  *I really don't like this song that much, however, I love this video because you can see Aesop Rock smiling.

2. Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Soul To Squeeze" 1993  *From the Coneheads soundtrack. This is one of my favorite RHCP songs because I was never into their earlier funky punky stuff.

3. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam - "Lost In Emotion" 1987  *Full-on eighties carnival action.

4. Gang Starr feat. Nice and Smooth - "Dwyck" 1994  *Atlantic City is not a carnival, but, there is a ferris wheel.

5.  Huey Lewis and the News - "If This Is It" 1984  *I wonder if "The News" resented Huey because he didn't have to get buried in the sand.

6. Bruce Springsteen - "Tunnel Of Love" 1987  *He rhymes blouse with farmhouse. It totally works.

7. The Internet - "Cocaine" 2011  *I love that she is making music but cocaine is an ugly drug.

8. Stones Throw Singers feat. Peanut Butter Wolf - "Rain Of Earth" 2006  *I deeply appreciate Peanut Butter Wolf for his many talents and contributions. Singing is not one of the talents I am referring to.

9. Joan Osborne - "One Of Us" 1995  *Definitely NOT cool, but, it was probably scandalous when it came out (which can be cool).

10. Outkast - "The Whole World" 2001  *Not surprising that Outkast would have a carnival video.

Ten Music Videos featuring Old Footage

1. Weezer - "Buddy Holly" 1994  *Spike Jonze classic.

2. Lykke Li - "Get Some" 2010  *She coo.

3. Ol' Dirty Bastard - "Baby, I Got Your Money" 1999  *Features scenes from Dolemite.

4. Gnarls Barkley - "Smiley Faces" 2006  *Even though Cee Lo's voice is kind of grating, I still like the band.

5. Dexy's Midnight Runners - "Come On Eileen" 1982  *Straight 80s overall chic.

6. Huey Lewis And The News - "The Heart Of Rock And Roll" 1984  *Huey Lewis and his News look like total dweebs in this video, which may have been the look they were looking for. He says "Seattle" in this song.

7. Elvis Costello - "Everyday I Write The Book" 1983  *The lady in this video is on some Princess Diana shit.

8. Drake - "HYFR (Hell Ya Fucking Right)" 2012  *Drake was a rad dancer as a kid.

9. Traveling Wilburys - "Handle With Care" 1988  *1980s supergroup of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty.

10. Living Colour - "Cult Of Personality" 1988  *I really don't think that this song is that great, but it was definitely a memorable group and video.
