Ten More Music Videos with Food

1. Superior - "My Whole World" 2015 Finding this song reminded me that spending hours on the internet looking for music is exactly the shit I love most. Superior has been making music since the 90s and is currently on the Dezi Belle label out of Berlin, Germany. Props to the kids in the video for their entrepreneurial spirit, they are going to take over the world.

2. Run The Jewels - "Blockbuster Night Part 1" 2014 El-P and Killer Mike are way better rappers than EMTs. Self promotion is also one of their great skills.

3. Freddie Gibbs + Madlib - "Harolds" 2014 I love Madlib's instrumentals. When the guns, violence, and bitches are optional, I'll always go without.

4. Mndsgn - "Frugality, Zen, + Homewards" 2014 A truly weird (AKA great) video from Stones Throw artist Mndsgn. He'll be at Barboza on Sunday, February 22.

5. Jamil Suleman + Spekulation - "Curry N'A Hour" 2015 Jamil Suleman teamed up with the Internet Buzz Master Spekulation for his song about the realest of real...making dinner. He'll be performing at the March Home Slice at The Crocodile Back Bar. Home Slice is a monthly showcase of local Hip Hop that I curate with Andrew Savoie of Nu Era.

Proud to say that Jamil was one of the teachers of my UW Hip Hop Class in Spring 2012 along with Third Andresen PhD and John Eklof. That was the class that made me realize what I should really be doing with my life. In the class we made an EP, a blog, and had an Album Release Party. Here's a link to a video filmed at the show. This was the video that truly captured the experience You can play Where's Waldo for me in the video if you know what I look like.

6. Bocafloja - "Aire" 2013 It seems like this rapper from Mexico City knows what's up. He's spreading positive messages with his music, I love that shit.

7. Doomtree - "Final Boss" 2015 I assure you that no Doomtree members were harmed in the making of this video. They are in fine shape and looking forward to the Seattle stop of their All Hands Tour. My ReignCity team is hosting their March 9 show at Neumos with Hellfyre Club and Transit.

8. INXS - "Beautiful Girl" 1993 One of those 90s jams that never gets old to me. INXS had the cuts.

9. Keyboard Kid - "BasedExorcism" 2012 (SEATTLE MUSIC) I love that he made a Twin Peaks inspired video. There's a handful of corn @ 2:16.

10. The Fat Boys - "All You Can Eat" 1985 From the epic 80s movie, Krush Groove. A must watch for any Hip Hop fan.

1. Kendra Morris - "Concrete Waves" (DJ Premier 320 Remix) 2011 *This is one of those songs that I knew I loved the first time I heard it.

2. Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - "Catch A Bad One" 1993 *This is off of the No Need For Alarm album.

3. INXS - "Need You Tonight" 1987 *Michael Hutchence showed us that rodents can be fashion accessories and friends.

4. Radiohead - "There, There" 2003 *The rodents in this video get the award for Most Civilized Rodents, mostly because of their outfits.

5. Steve Miller Band - "Abracadabra" 1982 *This video has rad 80's special effects, rodents, fire juggling, masks, birds, and a bunch of magic tricks.

6. Head Like A Kite - "We're Always On The Wrong Side Of Sunrise" 2010 (SEATTLE MUSIC) *This video could have also been on Ten Music Videos featuring Rotating Heads.

7. De La Soul - "Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey)" 1991 *When the rat uses the phone, it reminds me of that scary Secrets of Nimh movie.

8. Joey Bada$$ feat. Big K.R.I.T. and Smoke DZA - "Underground Airplay" 2013 *That's so cute they filmed their "Underground Airplay" video underground.

9. The Roots feat. Musiq - "Break You Off" 2002 * When this song started I immediately thought of this... "Hip-Hop smoothed out on an RandB tip with a Pop feel appeal to it." (Bell Biv DeVoe)

10. Azealia Banks - "212" 2011 *This song is still awesome.

4. Kendrick Lamar - "Cut You Off" 2010 *From this I learned that when Kendrick cut off the negative energy of others, he was able to make Good Kid, Maad City.

5. Queen Latifah, Yo-Yo, TLC, MC Lyte, Nefertiti, Salt-N-Pepa, Patra, and Meshell Ndegeocello - "Freedom" 1995 (Panther Soundtrack) *Female supercrew jam.

3. Michael Jackson - "Rock With You" 1980 *Smoke machines and lasers are a great duo.

4. Frankie Goes To Hollywood - "Relax (Don't Do It)" 1983 *Another laser and smoke machine combo.

5. Little Dragon - "Constant Surprises" 2008 *This video is all about the experimental headwear.

6. Kid 'n Play - "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody" 1991 *They don't want to hurt anybody, they're just dancing.

7. Ready For The World - "Oh Sheila" 1985 *White eighties suits. I like how one of the guys wears a yellow shirt with his white suit.

8. Paul Young - "Every Time You Go Away" 1985 *Eighties hair.

9. Group Home - "Livin' Proof" 1995 *This song reeks of DJ Premier in the best way.

10. Blondie - "Call Me" 1980 *This is not the official video, but this is an epic smoke machine shot.

*Conclusion - It seems that smoke machines may have gone out of style in the nineties.

1. Mobb Deep - "Survival Of The Fittest" 1995 *In this video you can see prime examples of "get hyped rap dancing" (I just made that up, I put it in quotes because I do whatever I want).

2. Madness - "Our House" 1982 *The fire is an ironing mishap.

3. Madlib - "Take It Back" 2006 *Animated fire still counts.

4. Salt-N-Pepa - "Do You Want Me" 1990 *This video has some awesome early nineties fashion. For example, knee length spandex with shorter baggy shorts...in the same outfit.

5. Everything But The Girl - "Wrong" 1996 *In this video Tracey Thorn decides to sit in a burning chair. This song is from the Walking Wounded album, which is incredible.

6. The Roots - "Distortion To Static" 1994 *From the album Do You Want More?!!!??!

7. Sade - "Soldier Of Love" 2010 *With this song, Sade showed us that she's still got it (no surprise there).

8. INXS - "Not Enough Time" 1992 *This video also contains rotating heads, clocks, staircases, confetti, underwater scenes, wind, and a lady in a fishnet outfit. I love this song.

9. Dave Dub - "Superfly" 2012 *I would like this song more if it was an instrumental.

10. Queen - "Under Pressure" 1981 *This video also contains monsters, destruction of old buildings, backwards scenes, old footage, and the Statue Of Liberty; but, Queen does not appear in this video.
