3. A Tribe Called Quest - "Dis Generation" 2017 Waiting patiently for a "Mobius" video... "Conrad Tokyo" too. A Tribe Called Quest is now part of the Umbrella music video crew; so that's awesome.
4. Run The Jewels - "Legend Has It" 2017 I'd say these two are at the top of their game but I'm sure they'll surprise us with more awesomeness very soon. Watch the Def Jux documentary from 2002 to see what El-P was like fifteen years ago.
5. Brother Ali - "Own Light (What Hearts Are For) 2017 So many feels about this one. I love that he dedicated this to the late, great, Jonathan Moore; his decades of love and endless support for the Seattle (and beyond) Music Community will never be forgotten. 1. Flying Lotus - "Ready Err Not" 2014 This one took me back to the video for Tool's "Sober" which appeared on Ten Music Videos Featuring Clay Or Puppets. Flying Lotus has obviously tapped into his superpower.
2. Kendrick Lamar - "Alright" 2015 This Kendrick and Obama photo is one of the best things I've ever seen.
3. Hawk House - "Chill Pill (Experiment 2)" 2014 I can't wait to feel the vibe of the UK Hip Hop Scene firsthand. I'm still trying to build this music bridge.

1. Joey Bada$$ - "Big Dusty" 2014 The Pro Era team is still killin' it, Joey especially. The dude at :06 is a Jarv Dee doppelganger.

2. BADBADNOTGOOD feat. Leland Whitty - "UVM" 2012 It's hard to watch this without pausing for cereal.
3. Intelligent Hoodlum - "The Posse (Shoot Em Up)" 1993 This is the first track on the Posse Soundtrack. I have a VHS tape with Intelligent Hoodlum performing this song Live on BET (and many other early 90's music videos), it's one of my most prized possessions.
4. Seinabo Sey - "Younger" 2014 Swedes have the chillest parties. I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing what she does with the buzz she created with this song.
5. ILOVEMAKONNEN - "Tuesday" 2014 This song always makes me think of Stop Biting! Tuesdays at Lo-Fi.
6. Queen Latifah - "Just Another Day" 1993 It must have been quite a neighborhood spectacle when they rolled in the lift for the video shoot. It's an advanced posse shot.

Ten Music Videos featuring Bears
1. Black Milk - "Sunday's Best/Monday's Worst" 2013 Out of the ten, this is my favorite.
2. 50 Cent feat. Kendrick Lamar - "We Up" 2013 Not surprisingly, Kendrick's verse is the best part of the song. For me, 50 is kind of over. The 2003 "In Da Club" video was so fitting (pun intended) and memorable but this is just meh. I'm sure millions of people still like him, so I don't have to.
3. Lily Allen - "The Fear" 2008 British pop stars are so much classier than ours.
4. Macy Gray - "Do Something" 1999 It's good advice.
6. Ryan Hemsworth feat Lofty305 - "Against A Wall" 2013 There are bobble-boobs in this video, you'll see. I respect Ryan Hemsworth for getting himself out there, I just prefer to listen to something else.
7. Childish Gambino - "3005" 2013 When rappers have a bear, it's gets all Kanye pretty quick.
8. The 2 Bears - "Be Strong" 2010 The video is just so weird that I had to post even though the song is a little too...something.

2. Lil Kim feat. Lil Cease and The Notorious B.I.G. - "Crush On You" 1997 *In this video, we're talking about dance steps. Hardcore was definitely the best Lil Kim album.
3. Pusha T feat. Kendrick Lamar - "Nosetalgia" 2013 *Somebody should count how many steps they take, I'm not gonna do it, but, someone should. Kendrick has the smoothest and most nonchalant entrance ever. Still not a big Pusha T fan.
4. RJD2 - "Her Majesty's Socialist Request" 2013 *Whoa. This video is intense.
5. Step Brothers - "Step Masters" 2013 *I really hope there is a Step Brothers tour. I want to get them to sign this poster.

Obligatory Favorite Albums of 2012 Post
In no particular order, my 4 favorite albums of 2012 were:
The XX - Coexist
I can listen to this album on repeat for hours on end, the entire album is incredible. Further proof of their genius can be seen in their KEXP studio performance.
Grimes - Visions
Her KEXP performance and her show at Neumos made me appreciate her even more. After initially being drawn in by Genesis and Oblivion, my favorite became Be A Body.
Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
In an album full of gems, I overplayed The Art of Peer Pressure the most. When I got this cd I had to go on a road trip so I could listen to it a few times without interruption.
Kingdom Crumbs - Kingdom Crumbs (SEATTLE)
These guys are making some of the most exciting music coming out of the city right now, they have great energy onstage and are constantly improving as artists. I enjoy Pick Both Sides Of My Brain and Red Cups the most, however, the album as a whole is worth paying full price for. You can find the album HERE. The video for Evoking Spirits is very well done and I look forward to hearing what these guys do next.
* Honorable Mention goes to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - The Heist. Even though I don't enjoy listening to the album that much, I do appreciate what they have done for the city of Seattle and the music industry in general.
