Fourteen More Music Videos with Public Transportation

1. J. Cole - "False Prophets" 2016 He used the beat for Joey Bada$$'s "Waves" and Joey wore it better.

2. Bambu - "Minimum Wage" 2014 I love that Bambu educates with his art, he gets it.

3. Ghostpoet - "Off Peak Dreams" 2015 I was in Shoreditch, London for 9 days and it wasn't enough time; I will be back as soon as I possibly can. Ghostpoet first appeared on my website back in 2013, moments after I discovered his "Meltdown" track.

4. Little Dragon - "Underbart" 2014 This is from the Nabuma Rubberband album; worth a listen but it's way less magical for me than their previous albums.

5. Axel F. (J.Rocc + MED) feat. Pok + Strong Arm Steady - "Superman RMX" 2014 I love superhero shit, I hope J.Rocc is careful with his cape; the world needs him.

6. Kool + Käss - "Pleasance (WDGAF)" 2013 It's hard not to like artists that dgaf.

7. Micall Parknsun - "Land Of The Lost" 2013 (UK HIP HOP) This UK artist seems kind of Seattle.

8. Slick Devious - "Draped Up" 2013 PORTLAND MUSIC One of Portland's weirdest; this is a huge compliment. My intro to Slick Devious was via the "Paint Soup" album with Grape God.

9. Rapsody - "The Man" 2015 She's dope. I've been fortunate enough to see her a few times in the last year with 9th Wonder. I always think of "Welcome To Jamrock" when I read Jamla Records.

10. Dex Amora x Goldenbeets (ft. Scarlet Parke) - "What Do Ai Say" 2015 SEATTLE MUSIC “I don’t like writing in the booth. I like writing on the Metro, actually. It’s kind of habit now. When I first got out here, that’s what I was doing, so it kind of stuck with me. I’m more comfortable on the back of the Link with my headphones on, writing something.” Seattle Weekly Interview

11. Brandy feat. Timbaland - "Who Is She 2 U" 2004 While researching this collaboration, I learned about another genre of music I missed, illbient music...according to the legends of Wiki, Brandy and Timbaland were experimenting with it. I still don't like putting music in a labelled box.

12. Flying Lotus - "Coronus, The Terminator" 2015 Flying Lotus is one of the most inspiring people on the planet.

13. Substantial feat. Precious Joubert - "The Sub Way" 2017 (prod. Marcus D) This song (and a 4 panel color poster) can be found within Substantial's latest album, The Past Is Always Present in the Future.

14. Kris Kross - "I Missed The Bus" 1992 Pretty sure I got this cassette from BMG Music Service, I still have it. #cassettesareback Shoutout to the late Chris Kelly for leaving us with so much great entertainment.

Ten Reasons Why Rhymesayers Kick Ass

1. Step Brothers (Alchemist + Evidence) - "Step Masters" 2013 This is one of my favorite music videos of all-time and as you can see, I watch a lot of them. It's great to see how much fun Alchemist and Evidence had while making this video. How could you not like them?

2. Prof Signs To Rhymesayers 2013 They announced the signing of Prof with a video that showcases why he is worth paying attention to. I would love to inspire artists to make more promotional videos like this because if you don't go all in, you'll never get to step out of a plane like this.

3. Brother Ali feat. Bambu + Mally - "Home Away From Home" 2014 Brother Ali's tour was kicked off with a video made in the bus at the start of their adventure. My team at ReignCity hosted them at The Crocodile in Seattle and Bellingham's Wild Buffalo. Rhymesayers knows how to help you help them, this video is great proof of that.

4. Grieves - "Fifth Element In-Store Recap" 2012 This video shows how well Rhymesayers artists treat their fans. Grieves and his team always kill it with the social media and are truly great people. The Winter & The Wolves tour made for another great ReignCity show in 2014.

5. Evidence - "You" 2011 If Evidence is on your team, you know you have something good going.

6. "Go Hands On with Lord Steppington! 2013" The Lord Steppington vinyl and CD have a fuzzy cover. You can't caress an mp3 while listening to it. I love that it had a big poster inside, extras like that are what make people want to buy physical copies. Vinyl with download cards included are perfect. No one should ever play a show without merch; if you make it, they will buy. Making a video about the quality of your merch is pro-style. There is still a huge lack of high quality women's clothing in the merch department. Don't you want the ladies wearing your name on their chest to look good?

7. Dilated Peoples - "Show Me The Way" 2014 (Produced by Jake One) This is one of my two most overplayed songs of the summer. Dilated Peoples had been on Capitol Records but released Directors Of Photography on Rhymesayers earlier this year.

8. Hail Mary Mallon - Behind The ... A Three Part Series 2014 They truly made the release of Hail Mary Mallon's Bestiary album an event by helping us get to know the artists and their creative process. My team at ReignCity and I get to host them January 23 at The Wild Buffalo in Bellingham with Homeboy Sandman, Darktime Sunshine, and DJ Abilities on January 23.

9. Dilated Peoples - 3 Part Promo Video for Directors Of Photography 2014 We already know and love Dilated Peoples and they still made a three part video to help us remember why they are on top of the game. If you tell people your story and you're making music that is unique and high quality, people will want to pay attention to you.

10. Atmosphere - "God Loves Ugly" 2002 The newer artists on Rhymesayers get the priceless guidance of the seasoned veterans Slug and Ant, who have been successful musicians and entrepreneurs since 1989 and are showing no signs of a slowdown. They founded Rhymesayers in 1995 with the help of Musab Saad and Brent Sayers (Siddiq) and have turned it into one of the best Hip Hop labels in the world. Almost twenty years later, they remain to be chart topping artists. Their chart-topping Southsiders album brought them to Seattle for another great ReignCity hosted show.

Ten More Music Videos featuring Special Effects

1. En Vogue - "Adventure" 1998 En Vogue does Sesame Street. They are teaching the kids to make up crazy stories that could never be true (in the nineties anyway).

2. Level 42 - "Something About You" 1986 This is one of those great eighties songs that I didn't know the artist until now.

3. Danny Brown - "Radio Song" 2012 There are tons of Danny Browns in this video. Even though he says some offensive shit sometimes, I still like him.

4. Bonobo - "Cirrus" 2013 This video starts off with some old footage and then develops into so much more.

5. Divine Styler - "Ain't Sayin' Nothin'" 1988 This video would have been a star in the rotating heads category, damn.

6. Bambu - "Lean" 2013 Usually people do their costume changes off-camera. He is one of the most likable dudes ever.

7. MC Lyte - "Cappucino" 1989 This is from before cappuccinos got huge.

8. Grizzly Bear - "Two Weeks" 2009 Their eyes are not blinking at the same time and they are blinking in slow motion, it is kind of freaking me out a little bit.

9. Wyclef Jean - "PJ's" 2002 This beat sounds the best when heard through real speakers.

10. Soundgarden - "Black Hole Sun" 1994 This video is kind of scary and painful, yet, I still like it.

Ten Music Videos featuring Couches

1. Tyler, The Creator - "IFHY" 2013 I truly feel that Tyler is a super genius. The only thing that makes his age obvious (he is only 22) is the lyrical content of his music. He still thinks that he has to shock us, even though the world would probably pay attention even if he went in a less shocking direction.

2. Madvillain - "Rhinestone Cowboy" 2004 *I have a lot of respect for these guys (MF Doom and Madlib), but, I don't like this song or video that much. The applause within the song doesn't really do it for me.

3. M.E.D. - "Push" 2005 *J Dilla is on the couch, it looks like the Donuts cover is a still from this video @ 2:25.

4. Bonobo feat. Andreya Triana - "The Keeper" 2009 *The one-shot music video is slowly paced which accentuates the smoothness of the song. I like most of the songs I put on here, but this is one of the ones I actually listen to...a lot.

5. Curren$y - "Chandelier" 2012 *I don't really like this song as a whole. I do appreciate how he respectfully talks about his lady, this is one of those rappers that deserves to get chicks. That said, I have not listened to any of his other songs.

6. Otayo Dubb feat. Bambu - "A Lil More" 2012 *This video serves as a public service announcement for ladies warning them to bring their drinks into the restroom with them. I wouldn't listen to this song regularly, but, they seem like good guys making music that actually means something.

7. The XX - "Islands" 2010 *The band is working this couch.

8. MC Lyte feat. Xscape - "Keep On Keepin' On" 1996 *I believe pantsuit MC Lyte does say "sugar for my booger" @ 1:56. I just recently found this song and even starred it on Spotify.

9. Billy Idol - "Cradle Of Love" 1990 *This guy is kind of a woos, not Billy Idol of course because he is a total badass.

10. Rocky Rivera feat. Irie Eyez - "GRLZ" 2012 *These girls are fierce, I'm glad they make music.
