Ten Great Songs From The Depths Of My Soundcloud Account

Props to Soundcloud and all they have done for the music community so far. I couldn't just let these songs lie dormant, I had to share them. For a good time follow 206liz on Soundcloud (me). The Soundcloud app is one of my all time favorite inventions.

1. Bipolar Sunshine feat Goldlink - "Future Part 1" 2014  The beat drop at 51 seconds is what dreams are made of. I think I found this by following Oakland's Hot Record Société.

2. King Ara - "Who The Fuck You Talkin' To?" 2013  It amazes me that this song never blew up, which is pretty much how I feel about every song on this list. This is the only song on his Soundcloud account so far.

3. Reva DeVito - "Friday Night" 2014 (Produced by Kaytranada)  If I was into Fridays and all that it represents to 9-5ers, I would play this song on Fridays. Instead, I get to listen to it whenever.

4. Porter Ray - "Blackcherry" 2014 (SEATTLE MUSIC) New Sub Pop signee and Ish protege Porter Ray is poised for greatness. I actually listened to the entire Fundamentals album repeatedly, it's that good.

5. De La Soul - "Dilla Plugged In" 2014  (Produced by J Dilla)  I would have loved to see a tour for this album.

6. BJ The Chicago Kid + Add-2 - "15 Minutes Of Fame" 2014  (Produced by 9th Wonder)  Instant classic status.

7. Daughter - "Youth (BUDO Remix)" 2014  Budo is one of those producers who can make a great song even better.

8. MED, Blu, Mayer Hawthorne, + Madlib - "The Buzz" 2013  I'm still working on becoming the Peanut Butter Wolf of Seattle so that I can help make songs like this happen. I may fangirl out a little when it comes to my love for Stones Throw.

9. Maryam Saleh - "Nouh Al Hamam" 2013  (Produced by Oddisee)  Multi-genre music fusion is the best, especially when it's for a great cause. For more info about this project, check out the album on Bandcamp.

10. EarDr.Umz - "Live @ Stop Biting 7.8.14" 2014 (SEATTLE MUSIC) I could listen to this on repeat for hours, actually I already have.

Ten Music Videos featuring Destruction

1. R.A. The Rugged Man feat. Talib Kweli - "Learn Truth" 2013  *This video also has American Flags, Old Footage, Shopping Carts, Blood, and a bunch of ugly things that are part of our history.

2. Drake feat Majid Jordan - "Hold On, We're Going Home" 2013  This intro is way too long and boring, skip to 2:30 for the music. I'm sure they were going for the short film thing, but I don't know why they needed to choke a bitch.

3. Deltron 3030 feat. Zack De La Rocha - "Melding Of The Minds" 2013  *Deltron 3030 is coming back to The Showbox on November 5 for another great ReignCity show.

4. Phosphorescent - "Song For Zula" 2013  *This video raises a lot of questions that I don't care enough about to find the answer to like: why is this person hitting the chain in such a non-helpful spot? Was this filmed in an empty zoo cage? Why am I watching a Phosphorescent video?

5. Woodkid - "Iron" 2011  *Slo-mo dog drool for the win.

6. Aloe Blacc - "Love Is The Answer" 2014  *Destruction of a young man's prospects.

7. Mobb Deep feat. Big Noyd and Rakim - "Hoodlum" 1997  *This is the title track from the Hoodlum Soundtrack...and it's awesome.

8. deM atlaS - "Lucille" 2014  *One of the newest Rhymesayers artists and a chick who is into jerky hair dancing (respect).

9. Akouo - "Last Time" 2014  *The Tasmanian producer Akouo likes breaking stuff.

10. J.Bre feat. Luck One + Grynch - "Memories" 2011 (SEATTLE MUSIC)  *This is a great video for playing Spot The Seattle Artist.

Ten Music Videos featuring Bears

1. Black Milk - "Sunday's Best/Monday's Worst" 2013  Out of the ten, this is my favorite.

2. 50 Cent feat. Kendrick Lamar - "We Up" 2013  Not surprisingly, Kendrick's verse is the best part of the song. For me, 50 is kind of over. The 2003 "In Da Club" video was so fitting (pun intended) and memorable but this is just meh. I'm sure millions of people still like him, so I don't have to.

3. Lily Allen - "The Fear" 2008  British pop stars are so much classier than ours.

4. Macy Gray - "Do Something" 1999  It's good advice.

5. Bon Iver - "Calgary" 2011  Still love Bon Iver, no shame.

6. Ryan Hemsworth feat Lofty305 - "Against A Wall" 2013  There are bobble-boobs in this video, you'll see. I respect Ryan Hemsworth for getting himself out there, I just prefer to listen to something else.

7. Childish Gambino - "3005" 2013  When rappers have a bear, it's gets all Kanye pretty quick.

8. The 2 Bears - "Be Strong" 2010  The video is just so weird that I had to post even though the song is a little too...something.

9. Fearless Four - "Problems Of The World Today" 1983  "What if we got matching but not quite matching black and red jumpsuits? We'll look cool as hell." -fake internet quote

10. Kanye West - "Good Morning" 2007  Dropout Bear has his own Wikifur page. I didn't even know Wikifur was a thing.
