Ten More Music Videos Featuring Reflections

1. SZA - "Babylon" 2014  *I wouldn't recommend putting a white sweater in the dirt like that, great song though.

2. Oddisee - "Back Of My Mind" 2014  *Oddisee seems like a cool dude, I'd go on a spacecruise with those guys.

3. Grieves - "Serpents" 2014  *Grieves is lookin' all slicked in this video.

4.  Pebbles - "Giving You The Benefit" 1990   *This song also features motorcycles, wind, skeezy fashion photographer, water, shadows, solo dancing, blue lighting, strobe light action, spying/espionage by a guy in a coonskin cap; they may have done all this to hide the fact that it is only a mediocre song.

5. Lykke Li - "No Rest For The Wicked" 2014  *This is from her new album, I Never Learn.

6. Big Mike, Biggie Smalls, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Buckshot, Busta Rhymes, Coolio, Digable Planets, Heltah Skeltah, Ill Al Skratch, Jamal, Menace Clan, and Redman - "Points" 1995  *This is from the Panther Soundtrack from 1995. The reflection is Dwayne Wayne @ 3:36.

7. Cyndi Lauper - "True Colors" 1986  *Call her up on the shell phone.

8. Redman - "Dunfiato" 2014  *Redman has so much personality, he doesn't need a flashy video.

9. Ugly Frank - "Leftova" 2014 (TACOMA MUSIC)  *But, did they ever eat the Froot Loops?

10. Shabazz Palaces - "Dawn In Luxor" KENZO Spring/Summer 2014 (SEATTLE MUSIC) *Reflections of the sun in the water and from the sequins. From their upcoming album Lese Majesty.

Ten Music Videos featuring Hallway Scenes

I put all the Music Videos with Hallway Scenes I've found so far on a YouTube playlist for you. #YouTubeNchill

1. Thee Satisfaction - "Queens" 2012  *These women are amazing.

2. Quarterflash - "Harden My Heart" 1981  *For me this song is all about one line, lucky for me it is in the chorus. My favorite part is when she says "Darlin' in my/your wildest dreams......." the rest is pretty great too.

3. Lykke Li - "I'm Good, I'm Gone" 2009  *This video is wonderfully weird. It took me awhile to catch on, but, Lykke Li is great.

4. Donell Jones feat. Left Eye - "U Know What's Up" 1999  *The sign at the beginning says La Face Place, I bet they play great music at La Face Place. I love Left Eye as the guest artist. She was fierce.

5. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - "Mary Jane's Last Dance" 1993  *Tom Petty gets all freaky with Eminem's fake mom, Kim Basinger.

6. Massive Attack - "Karmacoma" 1995  *This video reminds me of that Four Rooms movie, but with more rooms. This is one of those bands that helped to form my infatuation with Bristol.

7. K-os - "Man I Used To Be" 2005  UPDATE: The video disappeared from YouTube so I included the other K-os sing that I like instead.

8. Janelle Monae feat. Big Boi - "Tightrope" 2010  *Janelle Monae is cool because when this song came out everyone was like, "damn, who is this lady? I've never seen anything like it". It takes balls to be an original and she's got em.

9. UB40 - "Cant Help Falling In Love" 1993  *A bunch of guys in a hallway singing a nineties jam.

10. Leaders Of The New School - "Case Of The P.T.A." 1991  *This video has a lot of animated accents.

Ten Music Videos featuring Restaurants

1. The Pretenders - "Brass In Pocket" 1979  *This is the video that inspired me to start a restaurant compilation.

2. Lykke Li - "Sadness Is A Blessing" 2011  *This is one of those songs that I didn't realize how dramatic it was until I found myself singing it out loud. "Sadness is my boyfriend" is a funny lyric to be heard singing. Lyrics have been secondary for me, possibly because I have been listening to offensive, uninspiring, and unrelatable lyrics in songs with incredible instrumentals for so long, that I tuned them out. This beautiful song starts around 1:51.

3. Toro Y Moi - "Low Shoulder" 2010  *I wouldn't recommend eating in this restaurant.

4. Wiz Khalifa feat. The Weeknd - "Remember You" 2012  *I'm not a huge Wiz Khalifa fan but The Weeknd's presence makes the song more interesting.  This song doesn't really do it for me but there is a lot going on in this video.

5. Radiohead - "High and Dry" 1995  *I'd like to see Radiohead in a restaurant someday, I'd probably react like the kid in the bathroom. This video takes place at Dick's Restaurant which should not be confused with the Dick's Drive-In's of Seattle.

6. Brotherhood Creed - "Helluva" 1992  *I'm going to start using "helluva" as the go-to term for hotties.

7. Lily Allen - "Smile" 2006  *Lily Allen is pretty mean in this video but I still like her.

8. Brothers From Another - "Neon Nights" 2012  *Young and blossoming Seattle talent.

9. Homeboy Sandman - "Whatchu Want From Me" 2012  *What a great question.

10. Czarface (Inspectah Deck, 7L and Esoteric) - "Air 'Em Out" 2013  *I like that these guys made an album together but for me it is only meh.

Ten Music Videos featuring Old Footage

1. Weezer - "Buddy Holly" 1994  *Spike Jonze classic.

2. Lykke Li - "Get Some" 2010  *She coo.

3. Ol' Dirty Bastard - "Baby, I Got Your Money" 1999  *Features scenes from Dolemite.

4. Gnarls Barkley - "Smiley Faces" 2006  *Even though Cee Lo's voice is kind of grating, I still like the band.

5. Dexy's Midnight Runners - "Come On Eileen" 1982  *Straight 80s overall chic.

6. Huey Lewis And The News - "The Heart Of Rock And Roll" 1984  *Huey Lewis and his News look like total dweebs in this video, which may have been the look they were looking for. He says "Seattle" in this song.

7. Elvis Costello - "Everyday I Write The Book" 1983  *The lady in this video is on some Princess Diana shit.

8. Drake - "HYFR (Hell Ya Fucking Right)" 2012  *Drake was a rad dancer as a kid.

9. Traveling Wilburys - "Handle With Care" 1988  *1980s supergroup of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty.

10. Living Colour - "Cult Of Personality" 1988  *I really don't think that this song is that great, but it was definitely a memorable group and video.

Lykke Li

I heard of Lykke Li awhile ago but I didn't really pay attention until I saw this video for "Sadness is a Blessing". It has a super long intro but it is worth the wait (song actually begins at 1:50).

There are other great songs on her album Wounded Rhymes, like "Get Some" and "I Follow Rivers", but "Sadness is a Blessing" is my favorite.

This is a great video of her and Bon Iver doing a live acoustic performance of the song "Dance, Dance, Dance".
